First activity of 2008 will be TC800NH. We will begin on February 1, 2008 from QTHs in Istanbul, operating
mainly on 17,20 and 40m bands. TA1FR,TA1HZ,TA2IJ and TA2RX are the operators. Turkish Post Office is issueing Special Nasreddin
Hoca stamps and first 80 direct QSLs will be replied with these stamps.
Second activity took place from Canakkale to remember the
Canakkale Naval War Victory of March 18, 1915. University of 18 March ,Canakkale grounds on the Asiatic side of Dardanelles,
overlooking the Straits where the Naval War took place was used.
SSB operators wereTA3FB and TA1HZ.
TC57A was on the air with TA1FR,TA1HZ
and TA2RL as operators. Many young Scouts also had a chance to exchange greetings with TA stations. Station was at Kabatepe
Scout Camp.
