ANNOUNCEMENT of ACTIVITY

There will be a series of Lighthouse activations
by TCSWAT during the following five months from the historical lighthouses
around Istanbul. In collaboration with the Directorate General of Coastal Safety, TCSWAT
is organising the “Istanbul Lighthouses On The Air” activity, which will take place from Karaburun
( TUR 036 ), Sile ( TUR 046 ), Anadolu ( TUR 014 ), Ahirkapi ( TUR
056 ), Rumeli/Turkeli ( TUR 053 ), and Fenerbahce ( TUR 021
) Lighthouses as of last two weekends of December 2008.

contacting four or more of the lighthouses will recieve “Istanbul Lighthouses On The Air Award” .

TC SWAT ilk olarak 2004 yılı Ağustos ayında Lighthouse Weekend aktivitesi için
Şile Deniz Fenerinden bir grup TA radyo amatörünün TC2LHS çağrı işareti ile çalışması ile
oluştu. Ardından Karaburun Deniz Fenerinden TC1LHW, Haydarpaşa Garından TC150HP, Şile Fenerinden TC2LHW, Çanakkale
57.Alay anma yürüyüşünden TC57ALAY, Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübünün 100.Yılı için TC100FB, Mevlana'nın Doğumunun
800.Yılı için TC800YOM, Sahil Güvenliği'nin Kuruluşunun 25.Yılı için TC25SG , LZ VHF-UHF Contest
için TC1LZ , Antalya Gelidonya Deniz Fenerinden TC4LHW istasyonları ile çalışmalar devam etti.
2008 yılı içinde de TC ön ekli özel çağrı işaretli istasyonlar ile muhtelif çalışmalar
yapılacak. TK'dan gerekli izinler alındığında buradan ve DX News vd mecralardan bilgi verilecek.
TC SWAT' first activity was in August 2004 when a small group of TA amateurs worked as TC2LHS from the
Şile Lighthouse during the Lighthouse Weekend. Afterwards TC1LHW Karaburun Lighthouse,TC150HP Haydarpaşa Railways,
TC2LHW Şile Lighthouse, TC57ALAY Çanakkale 57th Regiment Commemoration, TC100FB Fenerbahçe Sports Club's 100th Anniversary,
TC800YOM Mevlana's 800th Birth Year, TC25SG Turkish Coast Guard's 25th Anniversary, TC1LZ LZ VHF-UHF DX Contest,
TC4LHW Antalya Gelidonya Lighthouse stations were on the air during 2007.
In 2008, there will be various TC prefixed stations on the air.As permission is granted from TK', info regarding
the activities will be posted here and at different sites such as DX News and Clusters.
